Yes, the single character per server info is probably the biggest news in that update. The devs have stated that is their preference, but it doesn't sound set in stone just yet. Theoretically with the skill-based system, you should have no need to have more than 1 toon. Also, with the entire focus of the game being on guild politics, this should limit the occurrences of spies, etc. You'd have to buy two accounts to do that with this scenario.

I personally never minded that about SWG, some people were all up in arms about it, but I didn't give it a second thought. Even the banking system, sounds familiar, but IMO you NEED to do this in any game.

Whats even more important is a Guild banking system. The ability to have a storage area for the group is huge, VG and LoTR fell flat on this, EQ2 had a brilliant system in place for guild banks that were all customizable by tier and rank. They also had a guild level system that allowed in game perks, and one of them was more space in your bank.

IMHO devs should look to EQ2 and their success on these small, but vital systems. I've already commentd on their mentoring system, which is brilliant.
